Spirit Level

A spirit level is a device for measuring the inclination of an object, such as a building's walls or floors. It consists of two glass vials containing liquid and connected to each other in a closed circuit by tubes. The liquid levels are set at different heights so that if one vial moves up or down, it will cause the other to move up or down as well.
